Soundtrack Maniacs

This is a case where two of the finest composers worked for the same film. A rare phenomenon that produced a CD that remains in the best selling list worldwide. The first nine tracks is Jones's half and the last 6 (without including the final song performed by Clannad) is Edelman's half.
This epic, romantic movie with plentiful action needed the appropriate score to touch the audience and make it feel like a wandering Mohican. Jones achieves that by composing a great theme using strings and violins. A rare theme that since someone hears it never forgets it. Edelman could not achieve something like that. To be honest Jones wrote the appropriate epic music but Edelman composed music that could surely fit at the Horse Whisperer!!! The combination is unsuccessful and what you will remember after listening to it is only the first 9 tracks, Jones's music.
Anyway... music like this you won't find elsewhere. Tracks 1,2,3,6 and 8 are my favorites. And the entire CD is one of my favorites. Buy it and you will be added to the list of the millions of buyers that brought the movie to their hi-fi. For me... is just another MUST for your collection!
