  • "X-Files: Fighting the Future" - Music Composed by Mark Snow

The X-Files Movie presaged that the composer of the score would be Mark Snow. Snow is justifiably one of the hottest names in television music. His theme for the X-Files series is maybe the most well-known internationally. In order to confirm his fame he should compose a corresponding score for the homonymous movie.
This album is absolutely magnificent! I was addicted to it from the its first notes. The series' theme is getting mutated all the time and appears randomly with the accompaniment of massive percussions and piano melodies. I was very pleased to discover that the intro of every single track was "hooking" the listener and keeping his interest till the last note. Some cues are astonishing and declare clearly the action of the specific scene. On the other hand I was very begrudged by the fact that during the film the volume of the music was unacceptably low!!! I also want to comment that the last two tracks of this CD are the embodiment of a score's climax!
Anyway, the result of Snow's work is just sublime and cannot be described with words. I really heard delectable music for more than an hour. For those who never liked the series and for those who were fans, for those who never saw the movie and for those that did... this CD is an experience of unforgettable atmospheric music. Enjoy it!
